The Department for Media Studies, part of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Tübingen, has a job opening starting January 1, 2012. The post as research assistant (E 13 TV-L) is initially limited to two years but includes the option for additional three years.
Precondition for employment is an above-average doctorate in the area of media studies. The post serves further scientific qualification (habilitation) with a research project in the area of media studies (media innovation and change) with an interdisciplinary and particularly a cognitive science research orientation. An empirical research focus is desirable but not necessarily required. The job profile also includes tasks in research and teaching within the field of media change and innovation.
The university seeks to increase the number of women participating in research and teaching. Therefore qualified female scholars are particularly asked to submit their application. In the case of equal aptitude severely handicapped scholars will be considered preferentially.
Submit your application to Prof. Dr. Klaus Sachs-Hombach, Institut für Medienwissenschaft, Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, Wilhelmstr. 50, 72074 Tübingen, Deadline: 10.12.2011. Further information: [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
