AHRC-funded Motherhood in post-European Literature Network
The School of Advanced Study is looking for a suitably experienced
individual to get fully involved in the activities of the network
which is based in the Centre for the Study of Contemporary Women?s
Writing at the Institute of Germanic & Romance Studies. You will
assist the Project Manager with the organisation of the events and
activities as well as the academic side of the project and help with
budget management.
To succeed in this role, you will have experience of working in a
Higher Education environment, including experience of running events.
Experience of maintaining websites and moderating mailing lists is a
must. In addition, ideally you will have experience of servicing
committees and managing budgets. A PhD in the field of contemporary
women?s writing and knowledge of a European language other than
English would be highly advantageous.
Good communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with
the ability to work equally effectively as part of a team and
independently. You will be highly organised, with good administrative
skills and the ability to manage and prioritise workload. You will
combine accuracy and a methodical approach with a flexible attitude
to your work.
