It seems a great opportunity to re think the way we do information systems in this space including funding of primary and community care
computing. Funding GP practices is soooo last century!

Mr Lansley MP (at the time) indicated that he preferred Practices to be the customers, rather than health authorities.
I agree, although there are some services that could be purchased by the HA since they use them, and some scope for cooperatives and presumably consortia would wish to stir the waters in their own ways.
If IT is useful then it should prosper as a cost of business, bought[1] on its merits by those who use it,
[1] or acquired or made.
