James,
Thank you for this. It therefore looks like that it is a wiring issue on
the DB9 connector. I can readily test this out.

Hi,
Adding to Neil's comments: I'm assuming you have a DX-ECU module. This
module maps a number of user switches or joystick positions to discrete
relay outputs. Eg. Forward is relay a, reverse is relay b etc. (I'm not
sure of the exact relationship)
The outputs are presented as a DB9 connector, and usually there's an
'octopus' of discrete leads and 3.5mm plugs coming out of that. See the
attached extract from the DX-ECU manual. (If this listserver doesn't
allow attachments, feel free to email me.)
Hopefully all you need to do is pick up a different output that
corresponds to the left head switch. Maybe it's different with this head
array interface?
Cheers,
James Dean

Hi Neil.
I may be missing something here but on a recent system of ours, the
three head switches all came out from the ECU unit so whichever head
switch was pressed when in ECU mouse mode, that is the switch that they
used for their communication aid, e.g. the left one.
Best regards,
Geoff

Subject: Special Controls Quenstion...
Hi,
Another Friday afternoon question if anyone has some good ideas:
My colleague has setup a Spectra Plus with Dynamics G90A for 3 head
switch drive and a separate 4th switch for mode, which goes into the
Environmental Control unit for communication aid use. Unfortunately the
middle (forwards drive) drive now is the through switch for the Voice
Output Communication Aid and ideally we want the left switch to be the
through without changing the forwards. I don't think Dynamics can solve
this, but possibly a P&G might.
Any thoughts?
Many thanks
