A successful afternoon of talks and presentations was held at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists on Friday 4th November 2011, with the official launch of the library and archive of the Royal College of Midwives in its new home at the RCOG in Sussex Place, Regent’s Park. This launch marks the successful collaboration between the two colleges to preserve and make accessible some 125 years of knowledge relating to midwifery, and enables researchers for the first time to consult published and unpublished collections across the broad spectrum of women’s health services.
A summary of the afternoon is now available on the RCOG website at http://www.rcog.org.uk/what-we-do/information-services/-collections/launch-rcm-library-and-archive-rcog and further information about the collections of both colleges can be found on the Archives Hub and by direct enquiry to [log in to unmask]
