Hi Tina,
Building Reg ADM is helpful here. The other Doc you may like to look at is CAE's Is there an accessible WC.
The standard is to fit a red cord, with a red bangle at 800mm and at 100mm from the finished floor level.
Ensure the cord is located between the WC pan and the nearest wall. It should be toward the front of the pan.
It is important that cleaning staff do not tie the cord up out of the way as it can't be reached from the floor. Most fall happen during the transfer from chair to loo, so essential the cord can be reached. Hope this is helpful.
Sue

I was referring to placing an emergency cord in a wheelchair accessible
toilet?
Are there guidelines for placing the cord int he toilet area, i.e. shoudl it
be on the left or right hand side of the toilet seat and at what height
exactly/
Kind regards
