Greetings All,
Welcome the last black heritage public event for 2011 and not to be missed! Do look out, however, for publicity in December for up and coming black heritage events in 2012.
Spotlight on Africa and the Diaspora, African Collections Revealed on Saturday 19 November at the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), South Kensington is a celebration and launch of the new visitor guide in full colour featuring 12 objects in 12 galleries in the V&A's collection that have relevance to Africa and the Diaspora. It gives details about the objects and where they can be seen in the Museum, and includes personal responses from leading heritage practitioners and cultural commentators, that not only challenge European representations of Africa and black Africans in the past, but also our own perceptions and views today.
