Plan is to try and see how far we get.
I do have some questions about versioning. I kind of thought framework
versions were more similar to sonames than to actual software versions.
With this directory layout, what happens if you link an application
against the moonshot framework and then a new version that keeps the
same ABI is installed?
Also, unless the behavior of the -framework switch has changed
significantly since I last worked with the Mac, I don't think the
above is sufficient to get the -framework switch of the compiler to work
correctly.
In particular, I thought the compiler generally assumed one shared
object per framework.
On versions where we use our own Kerberos, is it really a good idea to
include that in the moonshot framework? It seems like it may provide
very confusing behavior for an application to sometimes link against the
system Kerberos and sometimes against our Kerberos. This is
particularly true because unless we go out of our way in building our
Kerberos it probably cannot share credentials with the system Kerberos.
I kind of think we may want to combine the installer for the moonshot
libraries with the identity selector.
