Dear fellow modernists,
An appeal to the collective mind! I'm making progress on a project about the representation of the working woman writer (women who work for a living or aspire to do so, or define themselves as writers) in the period around 1880-1930. I've got a fine collection of novels/stories featuring women writers from the 1880s and 1890s, but they thin out post-1900. So I thought it worth asking if there are any I might have forgotten.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
All best wishes,
Bryony Randall
