Hi I am sure everyone has done it at sometime!
Right here goes
Click on the windows icon top left when page you want to password protect is showing
List starting with New visible
Click prepare 6th choice on list
New list comes up starting with properties
Click encrypt document 3rd down list
Box opens to write your password I usually right something like RoyalmailOH depending on the company and then you don't have to keep remembering different passwords as the all follow the same format cap letter to start and finish
I email the password on a separate email or advise them by phone if you write reorts fort them regularly they keep the same password
Then re enter it and be sure to say you want to save the changes when it prompts as you try to close document
Hope this helps it has become automatic for me now I even use it for any other sensitive files on my computer.
Take care
Tracy Turner
