Lesley, just back from half term break and saw this. We have done some redesigning recommendations of control rooms due to the specificity of the job tasks. However, the main area from a MSK angle is training in terms of posture and task/ time management. If you want further details of this please let me know off-line.

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Control room staff
Hi all,
I have been asked to advise on suitable seating and ergonomics for some employees who cover 24hrs in a control room(8hr shifts). At present they sit in 1 chair and glide around a u shaped desk layout looking at rows of screens. I am told that the screens cannot be moved as throughout different parts of the day they are used for differing tasks by other employees. Apart from the usual DSE and ergonomic advise has anyone else had experience of this and what did/would you recommend?
Many thanks in anticipation.
Lesley
