i also should have said for fork lift trucks you want to see that the
following is done and your ACOP that i have attatched will show this
- that vision within standards - do a snellons that will stand up in
court more than a keystone or do with a keystone dependent on risk
however there is a criteria that is required - see page 10 in the
medical standards
- audiometry to demonstrate they can hear - particularly warnings and
safety signals
good mobility - do an Mobility/musculoskeletal flexibility assessment
blood pressure and pulse
underlying health issues and medication history
alcohol and smoking history
peripheral vision test
cant think of any others
i would base protocol and procedures on this
