All shortlisted entries will be showcased at the Learning on Screen Awards ceremony at the BFI Southbank on Thursday 26 April 2012.
This year the categories include:
Student Production Awards sponsored by Avid - Outstanding productions, on any theme, made by students as part of a course or training activity. Winners receive Avid Media Composer 5 software.
General Education Awards - Content delivered as general factual and documentary production that is judged to be valuable for use in learning (broadcast, non-broadcast & multimedia).
Courseware & Curriculum Awards - Content created for use among specific target groups of students who need to obtain particular knowledge and skills or who are at a specific stage in a course of learning.
Education In-house Production Award (NEW 2012) - This category relates to a non-broadcast production by an individual, team or unit that is permanently employed by a qualifying education institution (either HE, FE or school).
