Library and Learning Services has a repuation for the outstanding support of learning, teaching and research across the university. Effective academic liaison, information literacy and collection development are critical to our success.
As the subject librarian for applied social sciences (mainly within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences) you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing library provision in criminology, social work, housing, health studies, public policy and politics. Your duties will include substantial contact with students and academic colleagues in formal and informal contexts (including teaching sessions), liaison and collection management.
You will be a graduate Chartered Librarian, preferably with experience of working within a university library. Excellent communication, IT and teamworking skills alongside demonstrable leadership potential are essential.
