EDINA is carrying out a survey to understand community demand and requirements for setting up a UK Private LOCKSS Network. This activity follows interest expressed at the UK LOCKSS Alliance meeting held in York on 10th May 2011.
We are looking specifically at the potential value of Private LOCKSS Networks, not only to members of the UK LOCKSS Alliance, but also to other UK academic libraries. The following link explains the background to this activity:
http://www.lockssalliance.ac.uk/2011/10/13/private-lockss-network-survey-of-non-members
The survey focuses on assessing the type of content academic libraries may wish to preserve in a PLN, together with the potential cost and resource implications.
We appreciate this is a busy time of year for academic libraries but very much hope you will be able to take part.
Please follow the link to add your responses to the the survey by Friday 28th October:

Best wishes
