We would like to invite you to the event Performing Arts Digital Collections: ECLAP. Opportunities, Advantages, Experiences.
Performing Arts Digital Collections: ECLAP. Opportunities, Advantages, Experiences is the second in the series of international events planned by ECLAP.
Nobel Laureate Dario Fo and Franca Rame will be special guests at the presentation of the European project ECLAP, which will take place in Rome on 20 October 2011, thanks to Centro Teatro Ateneo of Sapienza, University of Rome, and with collaboration of University of Florence (ECLAP coordinator), Compagnia Teatrale Fo-Rame, Fondazione Rinascimento Digitale and Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities.
Nobel Laureate Dario Fo & Franca Rame will present their archive, which features unique videos, images and texts representing more than 50 years of activity of the Dario Fo and Franca Rame theatre company. The remarkable items of the archive are being made available to EUROPEANA, for the first time thanks to ECLAP.
“In our partnership with the ECLAP Digital Library, we intend to support ECLAP in its program of preservation, enhancement and social use of the artistic heritage through the provision of a unique access portal to the performing arts that will converge with Europeana” (Dario Fo & Franca Rame)
ECLAP, the European Collected Library of Artistic Performance, is the new online archive for all performing arts in Europe, co-funded through the ICT Policy Support Programme of the European Commission. For the first time, the collections of the most important European performing arts institutions and archives are available online through the ECLAP Portal, as well as through Europeana, the European digital library. ECLAP also provides innovative and unique solutions and tools to help performing arts institutions manage and make their collections accessible.

Siamo lieti di invitarvi all’evento Per una Biblioteca Digitale Europea dello Spettacolo: ECLAP. Opportunità, Vantaggi, Esperienze
Il presente è il secondo nella serie di appuntamenti internazionali previsti da ECLAP. L'evento si svolgerà a Roma il 20 Ottobre 2011 grazie al Centro Teatro Ateneo della Sapienza, Università di Roma, con la collaborazione dell’Università di Firenze (ccordinatore di ECLAP), della Compagnia Teatrale Fo-Rame, della Fondazione Rinascimento Digitale e del MIBAC- Direzione Generale per lo Spettacolo dal vivo.
Ospiti d'onore saranno il Premio Nobel Dario Fo & Franca Rame che presenteranno il loro archivio, in cui sono conservati documenti, video, immagini e testi che rappresentano oltre 50 anni di attività della Compagnia Teatrale Dario Fo e Franca Rame. I notevoli contenuti dell'archivio saranno messi a disposizione al pubblico europeo tramite ECLAP e accessibili tramite EUROPEANA, la biblioteca digitale europea.

ECLAP, la Biblioteca Digitale Europea delle Arti dello Spettacolo, è il nuovo archivio online di tutte le arti dello spettacolo in Europa, co-finanziato dal Programma ICT PSP CIP della Commissione Europea. Per la prima volta, le collezioni dei più importanti istituti ed archivi europei delle arti dello spettacolo - prime fra tutte quella di Dario Fo e Franca Rame e quella del Centro Teatro di Ateneo - sono accessibili online attraverso il Portale ECLAP, nonché attraverso Europeana, la biblioteca digitale europea. ECLAP ha lo scopo di fornire soluzioni innovative e strumenti per supportare le istituzioni che possiedono archivi dello spettacolo, a gestire e rendere fruibili sul web le loro collezioni digitali.
