About CMRS: The Centre for Medieval & Renaissance Studies was founded in 1975 by Drs John and Sandy Feneley to establish in Oxford a permanent institute for the interdisciplinary study of the Medieval, Renaissance and Early Modern periods. An independent and self-governing institution, CMRS is affiliated with Keble College, University of Oxford. CMRS provides a semester-based liberal arts education for undergraduate students wishing to study abroad in Oxford. This symposium is part of a        summer programme of conferences, research fellowships and other  opportunities for visiting faculty.
