Dear All,
one-day conference on 14th November at the GeolSoc - definitely
relevant to geophysics. Free registration!
Regards,
Sheila Peacock,
list co-owner.
Dear all,
Just a reminder to register for the one day conference at the Geological Society,
London on November 14th on the theme “The coupling between tectonics and surface
processes” (http://www.geolsoc.org.uk/frontiers). The programme is listed below.
Registration is FREE, but you must contact Georgina Worrall at the Geological
Society to register ([log in to unmask]).
As well as being an important research meeting, it should be a good opportunity
for keen 3rd/4th year undergraduate students to see a research conference - please
can you pass this on to such students if appropriate.
Summary Programme (9.30 start):
·Accurate measurement of dynamic topography through space and time
oNicky White, University of Cambridge
·Late Cenozoic fluvial evidence for vertical crustal motion in response to
surface processes
oDavid Bridgland, Durham University
·Coupling between surface processes and crustal deformation
oRob Westaway, The Open University
