We would like to invite you to submit your manuscript <http://news.biomedcentral.com/t/24469348/602270077/63630/0/> to a new special issue to be published in Globalization and Health <http://news.biomedcentral.com/t/24469348/602270077/60069/0/> - Climate Change and Global Health: Implications for human health and health systems. Manuscripts may include research papers, reviews, policy analyses, short reports, commentaries, or debates. Please see our instructions for authors <http://news.biomedcentral.com/t/24469348/602270077/2173239/0/> for further details. The closing date for submissions is Friday 13th January 2012.
This special issue has arisen to explore the resilience and flexibility of our health systems in the face of possible large scale disasters linked to climate change, and will welcome manuscripts addressing the following issues:
* Health policy and financing mechanisms that will encourage public action and adaption strategies for health systems.
* Assessments of the ability of public policy and institutions to respond to climate change and human health.
* Merging the economics of climate adaptation and traditional health economics.
* How to mitigate asymmetrical effects of climate change on the global population.
* Interdisciplinary education and research.
