thanks for the hint. Unfortunately '/s' doesn't work, but '/S' does ;-).

Right. I tried this before sending out the mail. The silent option is
missing in the option list:
---------------------------
WinCoot 0.6.2 Setup
---------------------------
WinCoot Installer Command Line Help
Options:
/D=instdir - defines installation directory to instdir
/instdir=instdir - as above (preferred!!! needs to be first)
/startdir=statdir - defines dir where Coot will start (after
install/update)
/update - update WinCoot (no questions asked, requires /D)
/autoupdate - as /update but removes installer and starts WinCoot
/del_inst - removes the installer after installation
/run - run WinCoot after installation
/help | /? - this information
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
Follow-up questions:
* Is there also a silent option for the uninstaller?
* Is there a way to define the start menu entry (and other
options like "Windowsy feeling" etc.) and avoid desktop and
taskbar links when running a silent installation?
What I also noticed: WinCoot is not in the list of the Application
Wizard (appwiz.cpl) and therefore cannot be uninstalled from there.
Cheers
