Durham University's annual "Risk and Reliability Modelling of Energy
Systems" day (sponsored by the Durham Energy institute)
will be held on Thursday 24 November, in the Senate Suite at Durham
Castle. There will also be a welcome dinner at Hatfield College
on the evening of Wednesday 23 November (1930 for 2000). The full
programme is now available at
http://sites.google.com/site/durhamriskday/
There will be two invited talks:
- "The folly of forecasting power system reliability" by Paul Plumptre
(National Grid)
- "Mathematical modelling techniques for the management of power systems
under uncertainty" by James Cruise and Stan Zachary (Heriot-Watt University)
The registration fee for non-Durham delegates is £25 (including lucnh
and refreshments on the day), plus another £15 for those wishing to
attend the dinner.
