Dear Rich,
I always use get_psth for this, a matlab function. You can completely
script it, with more options than the SPM GUI, and receive and proces
the results (vector with time points and one with confidence intervals)
during a function call in your script. Also, by looping over subjects
you can, for example, average these curves too. I then plot these curves
in matlab and provide axes etc that look nice in a paper.
Type 'help get_psth' for syntax.
On a side note: I kind of forgot whether this function is now in the
spm8 repo by default. When I remember well it was an extension for
earlier SPM versions, but it now appears in my spm8 folder. I don't
remember whether I put it there myself or not ;-)
From the comments in the code it seems a standard function now.
Good luck,
Bas

I'm using SPM8, and presently the only way I know how to see the PSTH is using the plot button on a first-level design (individual subject). However, when the PSTH is plotted in the matlab figure window, I can't seem to find the actual data points which were used to make the figure. Any hints? I need to export the data to my graphing program.
