Of course but I would advise careful wording of your report request to
maximise the chance of getting a report which is of any use to you. Ask
specific questions which relate to the information you wish to acquire.
There may be a range of information which you need - and you would need to
formulate your Q's to get that information.
With regards to a prior history of back problems: Something along the lines
of:
" Mr X was injured in a fall at work on.......
A return to work recovery programme has been devised but with little success
to date. (you could give a few details here if appropriate) It would be
helpful to have further information regarding any current or past health
problems Mr X has experienced which may be impeding a successful return to
work. Any information you can provide which can be used to assist us in
reviewing and thus optimising the success of this programe would be
appreciated. ......"
