Thanks very much for your post. I am indebted to Beryl Graham and Sarah Cook for the opportunity to guest host this discussion, which would not be taking place without all those who have agreed to be invited respondents.

I am most interested in your work and its many intersections with my own critical engagements with the law. However, before referring to one particular aspect, I have a couple of further introductions to make.

I am very pleased to welcome to the invited respondents:

Henry Lydiate, 
who as many on this list will already be aware, is an arts lawyer, arts business consultant, and Visiting Professor at the University of the Arts London.

Aymeric Mansoux, 
who is an artist. He has initiated projects such as: the ‘make art’ festival, ‘Puredyne’ GNU/Linux and the ‘FLOSS+Art’ book. His latest collaboration is ‘Naked on Pluto’, a Facebook game that explores centralized black box social networks. He currently works as co-supervisor for the Media Design and Communication Master of the Piet
Zwart Institute in Rotterdam (NL). He is also a PhD student at the Centre for Cultural Studies, Goldsmiths, University of London (UK).

Turning back to your post Armin, you wrote:

I am particularly interested in your reference to the processes that govern speech acts in collective decision making.
In my own work I explore the way that Derrida's reading of Austin's work on performative language provides a means to engage with the law. 

More specifically, in terms of KOP's project I would be keen to hear more about how your explorations of open code and free content led on to an engagement with speech acts.
