Hi All,
I'm registered to come but due to teaching commitments won't be there till Thursday night. Would appreciate it if you let me know where you're going for food.
Cheers,
Steve..

Subject: RE: JISCMail list - was: Re: Planning a third cloud computing developer workshop
Hi Steve,
A good question, and this email might answer it.
A few things have been suggested, and don’t think that this is by any means a closed and final set - alternative agenda/topic suggestions are very welcome and can be discussed in the first segment. This agenda is largely based on the last workshop.
10:30
Welcome/Coffee
11:30
Report on previous workshop and update on work since
12:00
Breakout group topics
12:30
Lunch
13:15
Breakout groups
17:00
Report back and schedule next day’s activities
09:30
Coffee
10:00
Breakout groups
12:30
Lunch
13:15
Breakout groups
15:00
Future plans and close
Some proposed breakout group topics
1. Network proposal, SIG terms of reference and SIG website
2. OpenStack setup (Friday only) and initial experiences with Diablo
3. Costs (bring your billing information!) and benchmarking experiments
4. Providing secure Cloud applications
5. Guidance on getting started with the Cloud, and other outputs
If you’ve not already registered, please do so using Eventbrite http://www.eventbrite.com/event/2269664628 – and by Friday so that catering might be provided for appropriate numbers . Those registering late should be prepared to bring their own food and drink!
I will try to expand the recipient list for this workshop over the next couple of days; it has been derived from previous also.
For those needing accommodation, please see: http://www.visitsurrey.com/site/Accommodation for options but do check distance and public transport links, and http://www.surrey.ac.uk/accommodation/staffandvisitors/shorttermguestaccommodation/index.htm for visitor rooms which may or may not be available.
We have eduroam, so it might work for you also. We will see what else we can do just in case.
Any questions, please ask. Proposals and answers, please suggest.
Many thanks
