Dennis Potter's Singing Detective is 25 years old. This anniversary event brings together production poersonnel, actors and academics to discuss the series as both an innovative production and an enduring influence on TV and film.

Morning: Producer Ken Trodd, actor Patrick Malahide and the then Head of BBC Television Drama, Jonathan Powell. It is hoped that they will be joined by Michael Gambon and director Jon Amiel.
Afternoon: John Cook (Glasgow Caledonian University), Timothy Corrigan (University of Pennsylvania) and Glen Creeber (University of Wales, Aberystwyth), and screenwriters who have been influenced by Potter’s innovative television drama, including the writer of Blackpool, Peter Bowker.
