Transport for Greater Manchester is the new name for the organisation responsible for implementing local transport policy across the conurbation. Transport policies that affect the ten districts of Greater Manchester are set by the new Greater Manchester Combined Authority and its Transport for Greater Manchester Committee. Transport for Greater Manchester is the delivery arm for the elected body, responsible for improving transport services and facilities, supporting the largest regional economy outside London. Our experts gather the information and provide the analysis that helps inform Greater Manchester's transport strategy and planning for a more sustainable future.
As part of our on-going organisational review, we have identified a need for two team leader posts in our Transport Strategy directorate:
- one to lead our Modelling and Economics team; and
- one to lead a small strategic Smarter Choices team
We're looking for experienced individuals with proven track records of managing work programmes to answer strategic transport questions and to develop innovative solutions that shape travel demand through effective engagement with partner local authorities, transport operators and national government.
