It was the latest production version when we started the switch to SL5, which forced us to stop using GT2. The LCG CE has been largely undeveloped since then because CREAM was always on the horizon.

NB This is GLUE 2, not GLUE 1. At one time I wondered if GLUE 2 would ever actually get deployed, but in fact EMI has embraced it as a way of unifying the various different middlewares, so it's a high-level objective for everything to support it in EMI 2.
