My problem at that point wasn't with openldap2.4 (which has worked fine
since then) it was with the fact that I upgraded the BDII without
reinstalling and the user running the bdii had changed and there were
leftover ldif files not deleted by the update that interfered. After I
fixed those problems the site-bdii has worked fine.
