Dear Nela,
If you go to your /canonical subdirectory in SPM and do:
g = gifti('cortex_8196.surf.gii')
you'll get in g.vertices the list of coordinates of all the 8196
vertices of the 'normal' mesh. Not sure what you meant by 'parts'
though.
