About TextHelp Read and Write Gold 10
TextHelp Read and Write Gold is a widely used piece of software that has various features including:
• Text to speech software
• Intelligent spell checking
• Word prediction
• OCR scanning
• Study skills support
• Pronunciation tutor
• Translator tool
• Screen masking
• Picture dictionary to allow users to see image/symbols of word meanings as well as text explanations
• Speech recognition
This software is designed to assist people who have dyslexia, English Language support needs, reading and writing difficulties or who require extra assistance when reading or composing text.
About the Course
The Certified Trainer course will be delivered by staff from TextHelp Systems and explores the wide variety of features in TextHelp Read&Write Gold 10.
The training programme is geared towards ensuring there is a deep understanding of the software and its ability to be adapted to suit the individual user.
The Certified Trainer Course includes an introduction to the software, demonstrations of the features and hands-on exercises. Participants can attend to become more aware of using the software or to become more confident in training others in how to use it.
Additionally delegates can opt to participate in an assessment, which will be completed and submitted to TextHelp within 2/4 weeks of attending the course and which will provide the opportunity to become Certified Trainer.
Completion of this will result in participants being awarded Certified TextHelp Trainers status. Certified Trainers are entitled to be listed on the Texthelp website for prospective trainees to contact them. They are also provided with support materials and a Certified Trainer logo.
The assessment and certified trainer status element of the course is optional and delegates can attend simply to learn more about TextHelp software.

Many organisations, services, colleges and universities have TextHelp Read and Write Gold software available as a sitelicense, which means that if people are aware of its features and functions,TextHelp would be of assistance to a wide range of users.
