There's probably not a lot known even in the TSB, given how early it is in the development of the TIC programme. Only one TIC - for High Value Manufacturing - has been awarded so far and it isn't scheduled to start operating till next month. I see from the very brief newsletters the HVM TIC has published on the TSB website that the business case was still being worked on not that long ago. (The newsletters give [log in to unmask] as the email address to which you should address queries about the overall TIC programme.) The prime mover behind most members of the HVM TIC (all of the AXRCs, as they're known - see http://tinyurl.com/3ssxusm) is Rolls Royce. Maybe someone there will have a clue.

Subject: [PSCI-COM] Training for scientists in Technology Innovation Centres
Does anyone know if any work is being or has been carried out that looks at the provision of skills training for the new Technology Innovation Centres? The spiel about them says that they will provide training for scientists, but I cannot find out what type of training this will be, who will do it, where it will be done, and who the trainees will be and where they will come from.
