We have a local council in S D England about to clear _travellers_ from a
place where they have been for ten years
I have little allegiance to the position of either side but for different
reasons
I am however listening to how they express themselves. One says it is
ridiculous to say they have broken the law because they are catholics.
& I just listened to the man in charge of the clearance:
_Let's be clear, this is about the legality of the situation. And let's be
clear that if this operation begins, and it will, then it will end_ And
*that was it.
What was he talking about? (rhetorical question)
I am now listening to a man who is talking out of the same orifice about
destruction of planning regulations - in response to an argument that a
proposed new law will endanger the countryside he has just said _no, no,
you're just complicating it_ and *that was all he said
The BBC broadcasts this spluttering as news
