With respect, the Paphnutius depicted in that image is not today's P. (who is not known to have been crucified on a palm tree) but rather the P. of 25. September (he's no. 2 here: <http://tinyurl.com/43cm8ag>), when with any luck we will have depictions of him actually originating in the Middle Ages.
