Dear All
Just to warn you that - somwhat unexpectedly - this event is now fully booked and we won't be able to guarantee entry without a ticket (though there may be some returns).
If you haven't got a ticket you are, however, welcome to attend the book launch with Tony Garnett at 5pm in the Blue Room.

A day of talks, screenings and panel discussions exploring the work of director Ken Loach from the political thriller Hidden Agenda to more recent titles such as It's a Free World.
Paul Mason (author of Live Working or Die Fighting and Meltdown) will open with a discussion of the socio-economic backdrop to this period of Loach's work. Jonathan Murray (Edinburgh College of Art) and Claire Monk (De Montfort University) will consider the representation of the working class and the 'underclass' in Loach's English and Scottish films while Ian Christie (Birkbeck College, University of London) and John Hill (Royal Holloway, University of London and author of Ken Loach: The Politics of Film and Television) will examine Loach's international films dealing with Latin America, the US, Ireland and Spain.
The day will conclude with an extended panel featuring Peter Kosminsky, Penny Woolcock, Rebecca O'Brien and Paul Laverty who will discuss the status of political film and television today, at home and abroad.
The event will be followed by a short talk by Tony Garnett at the launch of John Hill's book on Loach in The Blue Room.
