Does anyone have anything in for CAA2012 or planning to submit a proposal.
The organisers have been in touch saying that they would very much like
to be as interdisciplinary as possible and would be keen for a:
"digital classicist meets digital archaeology"
The deadline is fast approaching and I've copied the call below.
Simon.

Call for sessions, roundtables and workshops: Computer Applications and Quantitative Methods in Archaeology 2012
The Computer Applications and Quantitative Methods in Archaeology (CAA) 2012 conference will be hosted by the Archaeological Computing Research Group in the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Southampton on 26-30 March 2012
The call for Sessions, Roundtables and Workshops is now open and closes on 1st October 2011. We invite submissions for sessions relating to all aspects of computer applications in archaeology, whether practically or theoretically focussed. The conference timetable will be organised around themes that emerge from the proposed sessions. Abstracts of up to 500 words maximum may be uploaded via the open conference management system. We are particularly keen to encourage sessions organised collaboratively across disciplines and/or institutions.
Session, roundtable and workshop chairs are expected to administer the papers submitted to their session and write a short commentary on the session for the peer-reviewed conference proceedings. Review of sessions will be undertaken internally by the CAA2012 committee. Abstracts should be submitted via the open conference management system.
