Hello colleagues,
I am looking for a session for my co-written paper titled, Constructing the "Chinese City" in the context of Comparative Urbanism in the 21st century: new paradigm?
This paper looks at how the concept of the Chinese City as a "sphere" - not necessarily territorially bounded - has arisen out of the resurgence of comparative urbanism, and addresses the questions, "What" is the chinese city? "Where" is the Chinese City, and what forms is it taking? and "How" to contextualise the Chinese City in the new paradigm of comparative urbanism, given its unique history, and embedded cultural, socio-economical and political characteristics.
Many thanks for any direction and if you are interested in my paper (co-written with Julie Ren) please contact me at
