Information management involves many elements: information skills, data
protection, information security and codes of practice among them. The
'information cycle' was for long a formal part of the curriculum for the
education of library/information workers. Norman will explain its
importance as a valuable teaching framework which is, more than ever,
required to meet the need for training high-quality information
professionals.
Norman Briggs is well-known in the British information world and has for
many years been a key figure in Anglo-Russian co-operation for the
development of libraries and information services. He is Honorary
Research Officer for Cilip in the Thames Valley
This talk will be of particular value to anyone registered for CILIP
Chartership and can contribute towards CPD requirements.
