Details: This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced medical statistician or clinical trial scientist (eg epidemiologist or clinical project manager) to become part of one of the MRC Hubs for Trials Methodology Research (HTMR) - the MRC Clinical Trials Unit Hub. The main purpose of the post is to develop and conduct methodological research relating to trial conduct, with the objective of improving the evidence base for trial management practice, a relatively neglected area for research.
Applicants will be highly motivated and pro-active individuals with considerable experience in, and understanding of clinical trials, and a real interest in developing and leading methodological research to improve their conduct and management. They will also have a relevant degree and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The post is available for 2 years in the first instance with salary in the range £40,037 - £48,016 / £30,124 - £35,860 per annum (scale depending on skills and experience and including location allowances).
