The Hull York Medical School is seeking candidates for a Lecturer or
Senior Lecturer in Imaging Sciences

This post is designed to complement and enhance the research activities
of staff, including a new Chair in Neuroscience in the Wellcome-Wolfson
Centre for Hyperpolarisation in MRI, working closely with the Centre for
Neurosciences within the Medical School.
The post holder will be expected to attract external funding to develop
and maintain programmes of internationally competitive research that
contribute to the research agenda of the Medical School in the area of
imaging methods and their application to the study of disease. They will
also be expected to contribute to the application of hyperpolarisation
within the general area of neuroscience. Depending on experience this
could be collaborative in the first instance.
Candidates with expertise in the study of molecular or imaging
neuroscience are particularly encouraged to apply, although any research
programme that fits within our current strengths of neuroscience,
imaging and chemistry would be considered. In addition to the
development of a research programme, the post holder will contribute to
the teaching of neuroscience and imaging science to undergraduate
students studying medicine and biomedical science.
This non-clinical post reflects the HYMS and University of York's
commitment to enhance research activities in this major area of research
excellence and provide its students with a research and practice-led
teaching and learning environment. The posts offer an opportunity to

basic and clinical scientists.
