I am the Senior Practitioner for the Family Support Service at Bristol Drugs Project, working with drug-using parents and their children. I have been asked the needle exchange manager within the project to develop a policy for needle exchange staff around working with pregnant drug-users. Although we are obviously experienced in working with this client group, and therefore can base a policy upon experience and practice, I wondered whether anyone has seen a similar written policy for Needle Exchange services? I have phoned some other agencies, and no-one so far has such a policy in writing.
Does anyone have such a policy available? If so please could I have a look at it? Thanks
