It's quite simple, but requires a rebuild of GAIA, so not much use really.
To convert the KAPPA lut just use the ndf2ascii program with a fixed
width output of 3 (refuse the FITS headers). Put this in
applications/gaia/gaia/colormaps, now from that directory run:
tclsh colormaps.tcl > ../generic/colormaps.C
now rebuild GAIA. A simple:
cd .. && make install
from that directory should do it. If this is of general use commit the
.lasc file and colormaps.C.
