Dear Rebecca,
Resampling a "low" resolution image at a higher resolution will will not
bring in any information but only create a larger image (in terms of
number of voxels). There isn't thus much point in resampling and writing
on disk the SPM template at .77x.77x.77mm^3...
Beside you can always sample value in an image at any location(s), the
value at coordinates between voxel centres will be interpolated (various
scheme possible here).
