We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to support the implementation of records management and information legislation in the University of Edinburgh. This post is an exciting opportunity to develop a career in archives and records management as it is a training post designed for someone planning to apply to a professional training course for admission in 2012. Relevant training and development support will be provided, such as attendance at some professional meetings and visits to other archives. You will have a good honours degree, an eye for detail, good communication and interpersonal skills with some knowledge of records management, data protection or freedom of information.
Salary range: £15,353-17,179 (Grade UE03)

DISPOSE OF UNWANTED COMPUTER EQUIPMENT APPROPRIATELY
We know the importance of disposing of old PCs in line with University policy so that data cannot be recovered. The same dangers apply to the disposal of PDAs, mobile phones, CDs, DVDs, floppy discs, USB drives, etc.
