Engagement lead (part time)
Fixed contract: 10 weeks

The post is 3 days a week for 10 weeks.
Salary: c £35,000 including London weighting (pro rata)
Starting date: week commencing 15 August 2011
We are seeking an experienced project manager to work with our member charities on an engagement initiative. This exciting project examines how medical research charities support their patient and public communities in accessing biomedical information. The project will culminate in a 'TalkScience' event at the British Library in October. With such a time-limited project, it is crucial that the engagement lead can hit the ground running.

Person specification
The engagement lead must have excellent communication skills and be confident in developing new working relationships. This role would suit someone with project management experience who is able to manage competing priorities.
Key areas of responsibility
Develop contacts with relevant staff in member charities
Capture information on existing online resources and resources that have been shared with AMRC
Develop web content to signpost and showcase resources
Draft guidance on developing lay summaries of biomedical research information
Draft briefing notes
