I would imagine this is there own policy standard - and perhaps depends
on what environment you work in. H&S would have had input, I expect,
with the employer making that decision. Some where in the ethos they
have the paper work - perhaps it needs reviewing?

Good Morning - I have been used to undertaking hearing assessments for
anyone who is in an area above 8OdB however this is not being requested
by my new employer only in excess of 85dB. I cannot find any information
to support my previous practice so perhaps was being over cautious. ?Do
you think testing in areas 80 - 85 is not required? I would be greatful
for your comments.
