Hi all,
I have been asked by the HR manager for a copy of an email and letter that I sent to an ex employee. The employee had been dismissed the week before I recieved a report from his GP. He was appealing against the dismissal and I wrote to him and emailed him asking if he still wanted me to provide information from the report to the employer as it may or may not have had a bearing on his dismissal hearing appeal. I recieved no reply and so the info was not disclosed. The employee has subsequently submitted a tribunal request and HR are asking for a copy of my email to prove that he was informed that the report had been recieved. The email contains no medical info and a copy sits as a part of my OH records. If I contacted the ex employee, I am sure that he either would not respond or refuse.
HR know that I recieved the report because they were sent the bill!
Your advice would be greatly appreciated as always.
Many Thanks
Lesley
