We only have the policy that's connected to F&RS and this is signed and
dated. Unsure why they H&S team are saying that - if you are competent
and your physician feels you are then continue with what you are
doing...

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] BA/ confined space medical fitness
Hi List,
Does anyone have a confined space/BA health surveillance process/policy
that they would be willing to share?
Every employer I have worked for has required an OHP to counter sign the
fitness form after I have completed the health surveillance. I am
currently being told by H&S that this isn't necessary and that I can
sign them fit or unfit (of course if an indication of unfit then a
referral would probably already have been made) I am struggling to find
any information to back up what I have always thought was the correct
process. The HSE guidance is a bit woolly. What does everyone else do?
Many Thanks in advance
Lesley
