A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Professor Kenneth R. Leopold at the University of Minnesota (http://www.chem.umn.edu/groups/kleopold/). The NSF-supported project involves the use of rotational spectroscopy to investigate molecular complexes containing laser-ablated salts, with emphasis placed on those of important atmospheric molecules. Preference will be given to individuals with experience with high resolution spectroscopy and/or laser ablation techniques. The position is open immediately and candidates must have a Ph.D. in physical chemistry or chemical physics by the start of the appointment. The position is for one year with the possibility of extension for up to another year. Salary is competitive and some health benefits are included.
