Dear All
We are seeking a Project Support Officer to work on a National Institute of
Health Research-funded Programme Grant for Applied Research. This programme
of research is being undertaken in collaboration with NHS Leeds Community
Healthcare and has been underway for 2 years. The over-arching aim of this
programme is to optimise the quality of care and outcomes for people with,
or at risk of, complex wounds (for example leg and foot ulcers and pressure
ulcers). Such wounds are common; they have a high impact on the people
affected and the prevention and management of complex wounds occupies a
great deal of nursing time and health care resources.
The research within the programme is organised around three workstreams;
workstream 2 is particularly focused on the patient and carer perspective
and as part of that we are establishing a James Lind Alliance Pressure
Ulcer Partnership (see http://www.jlapressureulcerpartnership.co.uk/). The
James Lind Alliance (see http://www.lindalliance.org/) has been established
to ensure that patients' (and clinicians') research priorities influence
the research that is conducted. We are keen to develop a dialogue with
patients, carers and clinicians in the field of pressure ulcers initially
and develop a research agenda that reflects patients' and carers'
priorities, clinicians' uncertainties and priorities as well as gaps in the
evidence base. You will assist with this process.
Alongside the work with the James Lind Alliance we are keen to ensure that
the overall Wounds Research Programme includes meaningful involvement of
patients and carers and you will assist with this.
